iPhone 4 or Nexus S
Which device is king?
Hello again you CodeThemed lovers! I am bring to you once again the age old battle — Android vs. Apple! With the recent launch of the Nexus S it has had some iPhone 4 owners looking at taking on a sleek Android powered monster.
I have owned an iPhone 4 and have just recently acquired a Nexus S for testing. I would have to say that the Nexus to me has the looks to kill. But feels a bit cheap. Playing with the new Android flagship device I did notice some lag if you do not clear the running apps. With the launch of 2.3 Gingerbread I do have to say that it one-ups the 2.2 Froyo in terms of usability and looks. And who can miss that beautiful Super AMOLED screen! WOW, that is crisp! The front facing camera has been great as well. The biggest draw back to the Nexus S it the lack of micro SD card support. That to me has been the biggest advantage that Android had to offer. WHAT'S UP GOOGLE!
With the iPhone 4 you get the typical Apple experience that has become well-known and liked for its fine tuned performance and usability. To me the new design is great and makes the feel of the phone better and more professional. The addition of front facing camera was a great step for Apple! FaceTime ROCKS when you want to see the person you are talking too! But, the drawback to that would have to be the fact that you can only use it on WiFi. WHAT'S UP APPLE! The biggest perk with Apple is the fact that when updates come around everyone gets it at the same time as apposed to Android.
I hold no true bias to either device. I think that the iPhone 4 and Nexus S are wonderful achievements that will push for other devices to try and live up to their glamor. My personal opinion is that Apple and Android need to join ranks and put out one device that has the best of both operating systems! Lets face it, Apple needs to allow for the use of widgets!
We would love to hear feedback from you guys! What phone do you prefer?
