Some cool iOS tricks.

Jailbroken or not.

Here are some simple tweaks you may or may not know about for your iOS device.

Non-Jailbroken Device Tips:

  1. FaceTime - I thought every one knew about this feature but a lot of people don't know how to set it up. First, you're going to have to set up your email on your iDevice. Then, open FaceTime in Settings and sign in. Open your e-mail and verify the account, and you're all set to make video calls.
  2. MobileMe/Find My iPhone - This feature is free with every iPod 4 iPhone 4 and iPad. Just open Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > and setup a new e-mail with MobileMe. Then, turn on Find My iPhone/iPod/iPad after your account is verified.

Jailbroken Devices:
  1. HDR Enabler - This tweak is for the iPod touch 4 and enables HDR mode for the Camera application. Just search 'HDR' in Cydia and you will find it.
  2. Barrel - Fun tweak that adds spice to the Home Screen. Allows you to customize the transition when swiping between app pages. Totally worth the money.

    I keep checking to see if these guys are actually doing anything to get some actually decent icons. This site must be for 1st time users of Cydia, because even the most basic free theme in Cydia is far better than anything one could assemble from the icon choices here. I'd upload mine, but if these guys want actual website traffic, I'm gonna make them due more than babysit!
