IOS 4.3

Worth the Upgrade?


As you all know, iOS 4.3 has arrived. But, is the upgrade worth the hassle?

iOS 4.3 Specs:

  • AirPlay streaming for video in 3rd party apps.
  • Personal Hotspot (for supporting carriers)
  • New keyboard.
  • Performance tweaks.
  • Other features for iPad

The iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G are now officially discontinued from updates as of 4.3, and won't be receiving the update. The Personal Hotspot feature will be cool for any Verizon IPhone 4 owners with an unlimited data plan. But with AT&T doing away with their unlimited data plan this will be a useless feature — unless you want to be the next guy or gal on YouTube with a $5,000 dollar bill! Who knows, maybe this will push AT&T to bring back their unlimited data plan.

Of course, there is no untethered jailbreak for 4.3 as of yet so you may want to hold off on updating until then.

    Totally unfair!!! I loved use this website to build themes and just because I don't have money to dish out for a new fucking iphone 4 I can't make themes this blows hardcore its so hard to find sites like this screw this crap totally not cool!!!

    let me tell ya, i updated, no problems at all. battery even better than on iOS 4.2.1. apps never crash, and its unteathered..

    do not upgrade to 4.3, it casue battery issues, it glitches the ipod, and casues apps to crash more often

    It is NOT worth the hassle! The updates work for 3g and newer, sure. But most of us with smaller capacity devices can't use the updates to our advantage, unless we jailbreak. Beside's, the updates just make it harder to do the things you want after you jailbreak your device. And Apple still has numerous bugs to fix.

    No Just no i will not update at all. Plus if you look around on the internet there are reports of severe issues with this new update!

    The amount I would have to give up to recieve this update I would have to say a definite, 100% NO.
