Builder 2.1 - Now Available!

iPhone 4, iPod touch 4, and iPad

We're proud and excited to announce today's release of Theme Builder 2.1 with so many additions and upgrades. Our previous two week beta period has been quite a success, and we thank you all who contributed.

So what's all in this release?

Retina + iPad: You can now theme your iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4 and take advantage of their gorgeous, HD Retina displays. Not only are we adding these devices, but both iPad 1 and iPad 2 are also now supported.

Double-Sizing: Use the new 2x button to see Retina display-enabled and iPad HD themes full size. You'll see just how truly finely-detailed and beautiful HD themes can be. Now available on theme view pages and on the Theme Builder.

New Add Icon: Change the icons of thousands of apps with just a few keyboard taps. We'll find the app you're looking for and automatically match it up with its ID -- this way, your icons will work internationally and in all languages.

Compatibility: Add your devices to your account with My Devices, and instantly see what themes on the site work with your specific device and generation. Link devices to your account either manually or by signing into the CodeThemed app (which adds them automatically).

New presets: We've worked with designers to provide new HD presets for icons, docks, and wallpapers. Use them in your Retina and iPad themes.

There are a few apps that don't change, will this be fixed? Such as Music and Maps.

hi. do you have theme maker for iphone 3G? sad to say that i was made my own theme but it was not fitted for my phone. :(

It doesn't work if you want to make your own theme with your own photos!!!
Photo will show on your lock screen but it won't on your iPhone pages!
CodeThemed guys blame WinterBoard for it, WinterBoard blames CodeThemed.....however there is a BIG bug which needs to be fixed long time ago, and still waiting :(

Kinda sad that these features aren't working properly anymore, and there's no word from the devs about it. So who knows when or even if an update is coming. It's been what 5 - 6 months since the last update? Sad. Very sad. And to think this site used to be a very useful utility.

It says you need the latest version of I.E,try opening the adress in Mozilla Firefox.

@CodeThemed : when will the NEW-new updates will be released?
And can you please make the "cancel" button in "power off" customize-ble?

Hi! im paola and i just wanna know if someone can give me the bigboss source, because i downloaded the codethemed in my ipod but it was from the source modymi or something like that, ive been searching for that source to find oue the origina codethemed on cydia.
i think it says i need the lastest version because its not the right app. i think..... please help!!!

I have folders for my ipod so its much more organized. I have custom names and the builder does not let me choose those names. Is there a fix to this or is it what it is? Thank You.

I am having trouble because when i download my theme (.Zip & Rar) the only change is that the background of my springboard is changed and the text color of the slider if some1 could help my theme is called SmokingBlue Apple (yes smokingblue is 1 word) and no im not advertising so don't report me! thanx if some1 can help!

i made a theme with custom icons and it got approved and went to cydia and i installed it and the status bar and slider and wallpaper all worked but my icons are still original not the custom ones that are supposed to be on my theme

Im using an iPod Touch 4G iOS4.2.1, After choosing iPod Touch Retina I tried to create a theme and when I clicked the Lock screen and status bar tab nothing happened. It wont allow me to do anything, am I doing something wrong. Before the update I had no issue with creating a theme. Also the backgrounds I created in the theme aren't showing up on my iPod as well. my email is babyboy040684@yahoo.com, if someone has a solution to this issue. Please and Thanks.

Of course, you have some very valid points. Although, the old "icon system" was very bad as it didn't work cross platform (retina for example), as well you would be required to have SummerBoard mode on. We are currently working on a database system to gradually build up the lagest Bundle ID database of accurate information, allowing people to search for their own IDs and add them. This is something we decided to add now, reason being it should have been done long before.

Fair enough Johnathan, if its winterboard that's not working the search. Then explain why we still can't make our own icons as an option anymore.

I understand the need to improve existing software but it's mute when you take away the original icon making while its replacement upgrade does not work.

Transitions are a process not an event.

Any of the recently posted concerns are not connected to the new release, this builder is as updated as possible as far as naming icons/images go. The real issue here is WinterBoard, which unfortunately at the moment Saurik is not tending to. We are looking in possibly trying to improve WinterBoard ourselves although that will not be at this very instant. Thanks.

there's already problems with the builder T.T
i try to put my own icons but now they don't work anymore.
also, the dock and status bar background bug has not been fixed as they don't appear on my iPod 2nd gen.

every time i transfer themes some icon pictures are missing and pictures are enlarged. Can you put v2 of codethemed on the site so i can make themes again. if you put an option to click on what version you want then everyone is happy

Amazing search feature but I agree on being able to still add your own.
Other then that.

minus a few issues getting the lock screens to transfer correctly (probably user error but just saying) generally easy and great, but I also do not like the forced "must be found in search" app adder... I have five apps easy that you dont have in your data base.. Please fix?

Also still waiting on page indicators which is only 8x9 pixel (regular) 16x18 (retina)

The option to move and rearrange icons on the editor to actually see how it would look would be nice since not everyone puts stock on the first page etc.

3rd post under 500 gonna copy this just in case
take out the + sign in the middle and let us make our own icons like b4
the search is not accurate showing ebay as ebay mobile etc

iphones don't have facetime app icon so leave it in the ipod4 section
stop taking out our custom phone icons, and forcing the facetime icon on us

Remove the "+" PLUS button on the middle of the screen for ppl.that do themes for "sharing" to use REAL previews.
